Cebu City: Casa Verde

When I went to Cebu last summer for the Cebu Blog Camp 2011, I did not fail to visit one of my favorite restaurants in Cebu City and that is Casa Verde. Casa Verde restaurant has 3 branches: the main branch in Ramos St., The Walk in IT Park, and at The Ayala Terraces.

I met up with my Cebu-based friends and we decided to have lunch in Casa Verde at The Ayala Terraces since it is also near my friend’s office. Casa Verde restaurant is indeed a great place to catch up, make chikka while enjoying a very comfy ambiance and delicious meal.

Casa Verde's best-seller! Brian's Ribs priced at Php 198. Baked pork ribs with a sweet, tangy piquet sauce served with rice and corn & carrots. This is actually a personal favorite of mine. Really really huge slabs of baby back ribs covered in their special sauce and cooked to perfection. The meat is sooo tender, it just falls off the bone so easily. Delicious!

Pork Steak priced at Php 178. Grilled pork steak, lightly seasoned with herbs and spices served with Harvest rice. There's nothing really spectacular about this dish but I love the fact that the meat was really tender and it went really good with the Harvest rice.

Another best-seller from Casa Verde is their David Dean's Tenderloin priced at Php 188. One USDA steak on top of a mound of mashed potato and sprinkled with cheese. Served with demi-glace and garnished with fried onions and roasted almonds. I tell you, you can never go wrong with this dish!

And of course, what is a visit to Casa Verde with out trying the oh-so sinfully yummy Death By Chocolate priced at Php 125. This dessert is, indeed, to die for! Chocolate and nutty rocky road ice cream mixed with chocolate bar bits on a bed of chocolate syrup. This one is actually big enough for 2-3 people for sharing, but when no one's watching, I can actually have this delightful treat all to myself! Haha:)

So you might be wondering why their dishes seemed to be so affordable. Some say that Casa Verde only sets 10% profit in all their dishes, drinks, etc. because they really do value their customers' satisfaction. Well I personally do not know if this is true but if it is, then I salute you, Casa Verde restaurant!

Where else can you find a restaurant with really nice ambiance, fast and efficient servers, and good but very affordable dishes? Only in Casa Verde!
